Hawzah News Agency- According to reports, the procession saw a heavy presence of representatives from the offices of senior religious authorities, prominent seminary teachers, and national and military officials, alongside people from all walks of life who gathered to bid farewell to the revered cleric.
The body of the late religious authority will be carried along the route from Jihad Square through 19 Dey Street toward the holy shrine of Lady Fatima Masoumeh (peace be upon her), where he will be laid to rest.
Grand Ayatollah Shobeiri Zanjani, one of the most prominent Shia authorities in jurisprudence, principles of Islamic law, and the sciences of narrators and hadith, passed away earlier this week. He spent decades teaching and training generations of scholars at the Qom seminary and was widely respected for his piety, humility, and scholarly rigor.
His death has drawn condolences from senior Iranian officials, religious authorities, seminary leaders, and resistance figures, who described his passing as an irreparable loss to the Islamic world and Shia Islam.
The funeral procession reflects the deep respect and affection in which he was held, with mourners traveling from across Iran to attend the ceremonies in Qom.
